Baika tour

💖 Baika Tour & Baby Baika Tour – is a light around 420 km bikepacking trip on tarmac and gravel from [secret yet location] to Vilnius.

It’s a weekend trip at your own pace. We start in the mass start and after that it’s up to your tempo, but with the mandatory Saturday evening & night at Baika camping.

NEW: introducing Ultra Baika format for those who wants to travel in one go without any nap stops.

🔰 THE FORMAT:
– The main goal – in two or three days, or in one go reach the capital city Vilnius from [xxx];
– There are three ways to travel:
a) Baby Baika start is on Friday 8:00 AM;
b) [normal] Baika start is on Saturday 8:00 AM;
c) Ultra Baika non-stop start is on Saturday 6:00 AM.
– We will have a nice community Saturday evening & night at Baika camping in mid-way;
– We will collect your tents/sleeping bags on registration day and will deliver to camping and to the finish afterwards;
– Sleeping at Baika camping is not mandatory – you can choose any other accommodation;
– You can detour off the route (for shop, B&B or whatever), but you need to come back at the same point where you left the route and continue the journey;
– Baika Tour finish line will be open till Sunday 9:00 PM. If you’re late it doesn’t mean you can quit and surrender!
– We’re sure Baika Tour weekend will be the thing for stories to tell ;]

10:00 – 13:00 Loading of Baika Trucks (both Baby and normal Baika), loading of backpacks into the minibus [Vilnius]
13:00 – Departure of the Baby participants Bus [Vilnius]
19:00 – 22:00 Arrival of the Bus, unloading of the Baby Baika Truck, collection of bicycles
19:00 – 22:00 Registration, GPS sensors handout + backpacks loading to the minibus

06.04 Friday
07:00 – 08:00 Breakfast, GPS sensors, registration, backpacks loading to the minibus
08:15 Baby Baika start
17:30 – Departure of the Bus for Normal Baika, Ultra Baika participants [ERGO, Geležinio vilko 6A]
18:30 – Baika Bus stops near Kaunas [Biruliškių k., ORLEN gas station]
09:30 – 22:00 Unloading of the Normal Baika Truck and collection of bicycles

06.05 Saturday
06:00 Ultra Baika start
07:00 – 08:00 Breakfast, GPS sensors, registration, loading backpacks in the minibus
08:15 Baika Tour start
13:00 Opens Baika intermediate finish at [xxx] midway, unloading backpacks minibus

06.06 Sunday
07:30 – 08:00 Loading backpacks in the minibus

09:15 Start from FOR EVERYONE
14:00 Finish line opening in VILNIUS [at White bridge]
14:30 Expected first finishers: end, emotions, tears, GPS sensor return, backpack unloading from the bus

🧑‍⚖️ A MUST:
– Be ready for Baika Tour. Bring your helmet, proper clothes, front/back lights, computer/smartphone for navigation, batteries and all necessary things for survival;
– Obey the traffic rules, law and order;
– Save yourself, don’t push above your limits – especially at night;
– It is recommended to wear at least one reflective and bright dressing.

In all cases, you can independently choose the place or form of accommodation. All accommodations listed here are only recommended, you can choose sleeping location whenever you want.
